It is a matter of great honor and immense pride to serve Rayat Bahra University as the Director of the Bahra Research Innovation & Knowledge Cluster (BRIKC). I feel privileged to contribute to the University’s legacy of academic excellence, innovation, and transformative leadership. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude for the constant support and visionary guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, whose leadership continues to inspire and motivate the entire research community.
Rayat Bahra University is uniquely positioned to drive impactful change through its strong academic foundation, visionary leadership, and commitment to excellence in education and research. At the core of this vision, BRIKC functions as a dynamic and integrated platform dedicated to advancing research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and capacity building across the University.
As Director, I envision BRIKC as an inclusive and vibrant hub that transcends disciplinary boundaries—bringing together Science, Technology, Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Management, and allied domains. The Cluster actively facilitates and strengthens research activities, including high-quality publications, patents and intellectual property, sponsored research, consultancy, international collaborations, and outreach initiatives. It aims to empower faculty members, researchers, and students to address real-world challenges through impactful research and innovation.
Through close collaboration with schools, departments, and centres of excellence, BRIKC promotes interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary research supported by structured frameworks and institutional mechanisms. It also contributes to the development and implementation of policies ensuring ethical and responsible research practices, including data management, research incentives, knowledge dissemination, and strategic collaborations through MoUs with industry and leading national and international institutions.
BRIKC also plays a vital role in strengthening research quality, fostering an innovation-driven culture, and supporting institutional progress in national and global ranking frameworks such as NIRF, QS, and THE. Our focus remains on achieving measurable outcomes, benchmarking best practices, and maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity.
