NATIONAL CADET CORPS

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at Rayat Bahra University offers a wide range of training programmes and activities that help students develop leadership, discipline and teamwork. The Army Wing of the NCC at our University is affiliated with the 7 Haryana Battalion NCC, Mohali, which provides cadets with a variety of opportunities to learn from real–life situations.

Cadets regularly participate in important national level camps such as the Annual Training Camp (ATC), Army Attachment Camp, Republic Day Camp and Thal Sainik Camp. These camps focus on physical fitness, drill practice, weapon training, adventure activities, cultural events and social awareness programmes. The exposure gained through these activities not only builds confidence but also instils a strong sense of patriotism and responsibility towards the nation.

NCC cadets from Rayat Bahra University have brought laurels by getting selected for prestigious national level events and parades. They serve as role models for other students by showcasing discipline, dedication and exemplary conduct. The University supports NCC activities through dedicated training facilities, experienced instructors and continuous motivation, enabling cadets to excel in every field.

Certificates & Benefits

In addition to the hands-on training and activities, the B and C Certificates that cadets earn during their time in the NCC offer significant benefits.

B Certificate

Awarded after two years of training in the NCC. Benefits include:

  • Preference in government jobs (defence, police, paramilitary)
  • Exemption from physical tests under certain recruitment exams
  • Increased leadership opportunities due to foundational training

C Certificate

Awarded after 3 years of NCC training involving advanced duties. Benefits include:

  • Eligibility for Officer Training with special advantage in selection
  • Additional preferences for government and armed forces jobs
  • Higher recognition and leadership opportunities in civil or military services

Both B and C Certificates are highly valued by employers, particularly in fields that require discipline, leadership, and a sense of national service. These certificates not only open doors to a broader range of career options but also boost a cadet's personal development.

At Rayat Bahra University, the NCC helps students grow into confident leaders through a mix of structured training, community service, and adventure activities. The B and C Certificates earned through the training prepare cadets to face real-life challenges while inspiring them to be disciplined, responsible, and capable individuals in both their personal and professional lives.
